The main challenge for this project was to introduce a rather complex clinical program in a relatively small area. The central concept of this proposal was to separate the public space from the clinical through an element that simultaneously allows passage and conceals it. In a sense, the project comes down to this membrane, a huge wall made of overlapping bright white scales, perfectly undulating, strategically placed as a stage curtain, parallel to the storefront that gives access to the street.
Through this element we create a boundary between the public environment, which is a space of presentation and relaxation amplified by the use of grey mirrors, and the clinical space whose functionally is more precise and demanding, using high performance materials that require little maintenance.
